They served raw bacon. Like it was taken out of the package and put in the breakfast tacos without even coming close to cooking it. Absolutely uncalled for!
Just left. Rudy’s Santa Fe with to go order and it’s the worst ever eaten. I spoke to manager Tobias who wanted to debate with me vs customer satisfaction.
No bake potatoes at 6pm, brisket dry and tough Potato salad old. The manager has no customer satisfaction skills.
It’s too bad because the Rudy’s in Texas are Great!
I wasn't sure what to expect as I've never been to a Rudy's restaurant. I really enjoyed it. The meats have a great smoked flavor and the BBQ sauces are just right. You can taste anything you like to help decide what to order. Tons of parking all around the standalone restaurant. They were out of pulled pork. Brisket was good. The turkey was amazing. The potato salad was pretty good. All of the cold sides are enough for two people. Recommend.
From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with a smile and told that they would be closing early and that if we wanted to get takeout we could or there were minimal tables available if we wanted to stay. The closing time was an hour and a half after we got there, so it wasn’t like we were pressed for time, but they were trying to dissuade you from staying. This was our first time to the restaurant and no clue how it even worked. It's all self-serve. The "hot" food was cold and dry. Be advised, they ask for a tip at checkout even though EVERYTHING is self serve. Not a great experience for $20+ / person.
If you have a craving for BBQ, go to Rudy's. My wife and I travel a lot and have never been disappointed. Great brisket, ribs, and I always get a jalapeño sausage.
Rudy's food is excellent. The service is all from. The counter and a little confusing. The prices are moderate. The atmosphere is very casual. Folding tables and picnic tables are inside. My hubby loved their cream corn.
Just ordered a brisket sandwich. Meat was cold, dry and tough. The coleslaw was frozen on the top. This is officially my last visit to Rudy's Santa Fe. Avoid this restaurant.
We almost always find a Rudy's when we're in Texas. We saw one while in Colorado Springs and didn't get to go, so we were excited to see one here in Santa Fe.
They've always been good about chopping up the brisket for me for the sandwich. Love their potato salad. We always get extra food to go because we have withdrawals. LOL.
Service at Rudy's is always great. Don't forget the dessert!
